Kuwait Going Through Unprecedented Wave Of Coronavirus - Health Minister

Kuwait is going through an unprecedented wave of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19), stated Minister of Health Dr. Khaled Al-Saeed, adding that with the medical staff's efforts and the support of the community, it will pass.

After the inauguration of Al-Sabahiya Western Health Center, Dr. Al-Saeed said in a statement Monday that this turn of events requires joining efforts with workers in hospitals, noting that vaccines against the novel Coronavirus are available.

Dr. Al-Saeed added that more than 5,000 infection cases are being listed daily, noting that primary care is an important part of the development of the health system, as it provides high-level medical care to patients.

In a similar statement, Director of Al-Ahmadi Health District Dr. Ahmad Al-Shatti said that there are 31 health centers in the district, after re-opening Al-Sabahiya Western Health Center, indicating that the center is supported by an electronic follow-up system linked to Al-Adan Hospital through which information is exchanged.

Moroever, more medical centers are to be rehabilitated or reopened, bringing the total number to 37 centers in the district, he pointed out.
