Kuwait Flour Mills, Bakeries Co. Plays A Crucial Role In Food Security
Kuwait Flour Mills and Bakeries Company (KFMB) is a major provider to the local market throughout the year, particularly during Ramadan, which begins next week, supplying a variety of products at extremely low prices, contributing to food security, according to the firm's CEO.
In an interview with KUNA on Thursday, Mutlaq Al-Zayed indicated that KFMB factories will enhance the production of products that are commonly utilized during Ramadan while also offering new products. KFMB will produce additional white and brown Ruqaq (thin) bread, macaroni, vegetable oil, peeled and crushed wheat, and bakery products, according to Al-Zayed.
KFMB, he said, had introduced new fresh and frozen items such as mini-pizza foundation dough, plain croissants or croissants loaded with chocolate, mozzarella cheese, strawberry, thyme, and pistachio cream. These goods, he claimed, were already being sold during the Ramadan food festival, which runs till April 2 at the International Fair Grounds in Mishref Area.
According to Al-Zayed, demand for bread drops early in Ramadan but returns to normal by the middle of the month.
According to Al-Zayed, KFMB has been focused on meeting the demands of customers and has introduced new goods such as protein bread, potato hotdog rolls, cream-filled lemon biscuits, brioche, and sandwiches stuffed with cheese or labneh and zaatar.
Kuwait Flours Company was founded in 1961 and was previously known as Kuwait Flours Company. In 1965, production began. In 1988, the company amalgamated with Kuwait Bakeries Company to become KFMB, and it has since been a major contributor to food security. KUNA –
