Kuwait Confirms Eight Covid-19 Fatalities Along With 1,563 New Cases
Kuwait health officials confirmed 1,563 people tested positive for coronavirus while eight related deaths were reported on Monday, taking the total number of confirmed cases up to 329,526 and the death toll to 1,820, respectively.
Another 1,464 people were cured of the virus, raising the total of those to have overcome the disease to 311,559, ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said in a statement to KUNA.
The number of people hospitalized with the virus currently stands at 16,139 patients, with 172 of them in intensive care units, he added.
He went on to urge nationals and expatriates alike that abiding by health precautions, mainly, following social distancing rules, is the only way to halt the spread of the virus.
