Kuwait Basks In ‘low-risk’ Rating – Safest In Region
A security source stressed the Ministry of Interior is accurately following up the reports and look minutely into the statistics issued by all the accredited authorities that indicate the status of Kuwaiti security among the countries of the region, reports Al-Rai daily.
The source said a majority of these reports confirm that the country is ranked first in terms of ‘low risk’ among the Gulf and Arab countries, saying according to the political and security map related to terrorism issued by some approved global sites, Kuwait’s overall risk rating has been reduced from medium to low.
The source attributed Kuwait’s classification as the safest country to many reasons, including the country is immune to the repercussions of the region and the infl ated confl icts that hit most countries because of the wise policies adopted by the leadership as well as the distancing itself from regional alliances and contradictions.
The source pointed out that Kuwait is characterized by the absence of political or security disturbances, in contrast to the deterioration of the security situation in some Arab countries in the region.
The indicator of caution against the threat to human life is rising, especially in capitals which witness internal fighting and other capitals that are in a state of declared or undeclared emergency status due to various threats and risks.
Observers of foreign ministries on a permanent basis, especially the United States issue travel advisories for its citizens not to visit certain capitals due to unrest but Kuwait has never been the case unlike some Arab countries.
The source pointed out that the rate of crime fell to satisfactory levels, pointing out that the Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah oversaw this file personally, and gave instructions to all security sectors related to the development of their plans to fight and combat crime.
