Kuwait Athletes Screened For Resuming Training

Public Authority for Sport (PAS) Deputy Director General for Competitive Sports Dr. Saqer Al-Mulla said on Monday the authority started implementing a strategy for resumption of sports training.
In the preliminary steps, athletes of track and field, fencing and shooting have been examined to ensure they are free of the infectious disease, the coronavirus (COVID-19), he said in a statement.

He indicated at plans to sanitize sports facilities and enforce health terms set by the Ministry of Health, noting that there would be follow up on implementation of the anti-coronavirus scheme by sports clubs and associations.

A tripartite committee grouping representatives of the authority, the MoH and the Kuwaiti Olympic Committee declared on June 17 addoption of a mechnism for resuming sports activities as of June 28.
