Kuwait Airport Is In The Recovery Cycle
The Director-General of the Department, M. Youssef Al-Fawzan, said in a statement that signs of recovery at Kuwait International Airport began to gradually form in light of the increase in the number of passengers and flights, as well as the opening of many stations and travel destinations that were previously suspended due to the pandemic.Alqabas reported.
He stated that «all of this came thanks to the plans developed in coordination with the state authorities to raise the capacity to prepare the arrivals and departures.
He pointed out that raising the capacity of arrivals to 5,000 passengers per day has been accompanied by preparations from all the devices operating at the airport to overcome all obstacles that may face travelers.
Al-Fawzan said that “the administration has developed an integrated plan to facilitate the movement of passengers from entering the car parks at the airport until they board the planes, according to the approved health procedures and requirements.”
He added that teams have been formed working around the clock at Kuwait International Airport from the operational sectors to serve passengers and facilitate their travel procedures. Al-Fawzan added, “The number of counters has also been increased, especially in the luggage and passports hall, to clear the procedures for all passengers.”
Al-Fawzan praised the efforts of civil aviation workers and the rest of the authorities working at the airport, which developed a plan to facilitate the movement of passengers, both in the streets leading to the airport, and to facilitate the movement of their arrival at Kuwait International Airport easily.
The statistics of passengers at Kuwait International Airport, that the movement of passengers during the period from 14 to 24 July will reach 73,000 passengers, on 877 flights.
He added, “The number of departures will be about 55,000 passengers on 442 flights, compared to 18,000 arriving on 435 flights.
He concluded that the most popular destinations for departures are to Riyadh, Istanbul, Doha, Dubai and London.

Ready for the summer season
Director of the General Administration of Civil Aviation M. Yousef Al-Fawzan said, “We are ready for the summer season, according to the new procedures and controls, to serve tens of thousands of passengers and facilitate the smooth flow of passenger traffic at Kuwait International Airport.”

Al-Fawzan mentioned that it requires all travelers to be present at least 3 hours before the travel date, and to confirm the implementation of travel procedures for departures and arrivals in accordance with the circulars issued in this regard.
