Koc To Float Tenders For Mega Projects

The Kuwait Oil Company has on its hands 3 mega projects which are expected to be implemented during the next phase and for which it has allocated about 865 million dinars (equivalent of $2.8 billion).

The oil sources told Al-Anba the first project consists of five tenders for the construction of an oil pipeline whose value is put at 250 million dinars keeping in mind the company’s strategy to to increase production.

The sources said another tender is for the supply of 15 deep-drilling towers. The cost of this tender is put at 450 million dinars, as the KOC embarks drilling oil wells for a period of 5 years, to meet the needs of the company’s drilling sector of drilling more wells during the next stage. The value of each drilling tower is said to close to 30 million dinars.
