Kih Keep Semis Hopes Alive
The top two teams in the league, Don Bosco (DBO) and KOC Blue squared up against each other on Friday, March 29. The match maintained its top billing and was keenly contested. Both teams, having talented young players, put on a good display of hockey. DBO capitalized on a defensive error and took an early lead with Brandon being the scorer. KOC Blue mounted several raids and tested the opponents’ goalkeeper, Jayan, repeatedly. Finally, the Blues did manage to get the ball in the net through their main striker Hosam Jabran. Hosam once again leveled the score after Projot notched a second for DBO.
The fast-paced match was marred to a certain extent by both teams questioning the referee’s calls on several occasions.
