Kd 5 Million To Provide Health Requirements In Schools

The Ministry of Education has set the initial estimated budget to provide the necessary health requirements in public education schools. The cost amounted to KD 5 million to fulfill all the requirements including the provision of sterilizers and masks, Al-Rai daily reported.

An educational source told the daily that the financial sector in the ministry will address the Ministry of Finance for approval before next September, indicating that the ministry may have to further strain the budget with the start of the schools if the health crisis continues for a longer period.

The source emphasized that there are no obstacles to the return of schools and that school districts have been assigned inventory to fulfill their needs in terms of equipment and materials needed to implement health requirements during the gradual return.
