Jahra Reserve To Open Doors For Visitors From Tuesday

The Environment Public Authority intends to open the Jahra Nature Reserve for visitors starting next Tuesday.

Al-Qabas has learned the Director-General of the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fisheries Resources, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ahmad, will declare open the reserve to the public in the presence of the media.

Those wishing to visit will have to book through the authority’s appointment platform.

The Jahra Reserve was established in 1987, under the supervision of the Environment Public Authority, on 18 km2 area and the purpose of its establishment was to provide a haven for endemic and migratory birds, and to protect the environment and its biodiversity.
