Residency violators from the Indian community continued to take advantage of the amnesty by turning up at the reception centers in Farwaniya and Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh on the third day. Security sources revealed an agreement may have been reached with Indian authorities to allow flights carrying its expats to travel to reach India starting May 5, reported Al Rai daily

Yesterday, the center received large numbers of the Indian community, who are taking advantage of the decision of the Ministry of the Interior to return to their country without paying fines.  More than 1,390 men and women went through the procedures to receive their travel documents, and utilize the amnesty period that grants exemption from all fines, free travel tickets, and leaving the country easily, with the right to return again legally.

Al-Rai also reported that the Kuwaiti and Indian foreign ministries and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation from Kuwait (DGCA) had been working in coordination to operate flights from Kuwait to India to allow for travel for Indians via Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways, from May 5.

The numbers of undocumented expats expected to benefit from the amnesty decision is expected to reach 35,000 only out of 168,000 illegals.
