Indian In Kuwait Celebrated 75th Independence Day Virtually

Indian Embassy in Kuwait celebrated India's 75th Independence Day at the Embassy premise, which many Indians attended on the virtual platform. The celebrations under the strict protocol of Covid 19 was attended by Embassy officials and media personalities at the Embassy. The event was live cast on the virtual platform and was watched by a large number of Indians.

Ambassador Shri Sibi George unfurled the tricolour flag at the Embassy premise at 8:00 am, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.

Ambassador read out the Presidents message, followed by his message to the community. "This has been a very difficult year for most of us. We lost so many of our brothers and sisters in Kuwait, in India and all across the globe. I express my heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of those who lost their dear ones in Kuwait. I thank our medical professionals, our doctors, nurses and other frontline warriors in the fight against the pandemic for their selfless service. I am fully aware of the many challenges they face, and it's a priority for us to address their concerns," Ambassador said in his speech.

As part of the Independence day celebration, Ambassador initiated the tree plantation drive, and an Indian mango tree was planted at India House.

As part of the 75th Independence day and 60th year of India Kuwait diplomatic relations, Indian Embassy is planning a variety of programs in Kuwait. The Embassy will be holding a Musical evening on Sunday evening, which will be live cast on all Embassy platforms.
