Indian Embassy Celebrated Ayurvedha Day
Indian Embassy in Kuwait celebrated Ayurveda day on Friday evening at its auditorium following all required health protocol.
Ambassador Sri Sibi George inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp along with Madam Joice Sibi and Deputy Chief of Mission Sri Raj Gopal Singh.
India celebrated 5th Ayurveda Day on November 13th on the auspicious occasion of Dhanvatari Jayanti. The central theme for this year’s Ayurveda Day is “Ayurveda for COVID-19”.
"Ayurveda provides you with a ready well-trusted doctrine of preventive healthcare and lifestyle. Ayurveda addresses all aspects of life — the body, mind, and spirit. Its holistic approach, whether for healthy individuals or for those who need medical attention, remains unparalleled. Prevention of disease and promotion of health is the main aim of Ayurveda," Ambassador said in his remarks.
The event followed by telecasting the address by Hon. Prime Minister of India Sri Narendra Modi.
"Embassy will be organizing a series of events throughout the year to promote Ayurveda. We are also launching an Ayurveda Information Center at the Embassy to share information in multiple languages on the wellness program that various reputed institutes organise in India. We are also launching an Ayurveda Bulletin in English and Arabic. This is part of our efforts in building an Aatmanirbhar Bharat to make India a centre for global wellness," Ambassador said.
Earlier, Embassy organized a series of competitions for students of Indian schools in Kuwait including Quiz and Essay writing on Ayurveda. A large number of students had participated in the events. The winners of the Quiz contest were felicitated during the event. The embassy also launched the coffee table book "150 messages of Mahatma Gandhi, in English and Arabic". Expert AYUSH practitioners presented spellbinding AYUSH performance including Kalari martial arts, Yoga Dances, Hatha Yoga etc.
