Korean Ambassador to Kuwait, Chung Byung-ha, revealed that the trade between South Korea and Kuwait exceeded $13 billion last year, with ambitions to further enhance this economic partnership.

Speaking at a breakfast gathering hosted for local media representatives, Ambassador Chung emphasized the robust and enduring relationship between Korea and Kuwait, spanning across various sectors and levels of cooperation.

Ambassador Chung highlighted the diverse areas of collaboration between the two nations, including airport management, smart agriculture, healthcare, and renewable energy. He underscored the significance of the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries this year.

Expressing his delight at the growing interest in learning the Korean language at Kuwait University and the presence of Kuwaiti students studying in Korea, Ambassador Chung extended an invitation to Kuwaitis to explore Korea's unique tourist attractions, emphasizing that Kuwaitis enjoy visa-free entry to Korea.

Appreciating the cultural significance of diwaniyas in Kuwaiti society, Ambassador Chung expressed his eagerness to engage with various segments of Kuwaiti society through these traditional gatherings. He also commended the spirit of Ramadan in Kuwait and the strong social cohesion observed during this holy month.

Highlighting the warm reception and hospitality extended in Kuwaiti diwaniyas, Ambassador Chung praised Kuwaiti culture for its warmth and generosity.
