In 2021, Masks Reduced The Use Of Cosmetics In Kuwait

10 March 2022 Information

In the state of Kuwait, the demand for cosmetics has decreased. Cosmetic use decreased by 8.2 percent in the last nine months of 2021, according to research published by Al-Qabas newspaper.

Experts blamed the drop in cosmetics use on the mandatory wearing of masks in many places, which reduced the need to apply cosmetics.

Cosmetics worth 20.7 million dinars were imported to Kuwait in the last nine months of 2021, compared to 23 million dinars in the same time in 2020.

Cosmetics, skincare products (other than pharmaceuticals), sun protection products, and hand and foot care products are among the things imported.

Meanwhile, records show that imports of synthetic hair 'wigs' jumped from 11 million dinars last year to almost 15 million dinars this year.
