Homes For Expat Bachelors In Farwaniya And Jahra To Be Cut Off From Power
Al-Anba daily reports that the Bachelors Committee of the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy continues its campaign to cut off power supplies to residential apartments that are leased to bachelors in model residential areas. In the Farwaniya Governorate, authorities cut off power supply to more than 100 of these properties over the past month, according to Deputy Head Ahmed Al-Shammari. The Ministry of Interior and Kuwait municipality took all necessary measures and issued warning notices, giving owners ample time to rectify the situation and evict the bachelors.
The campaigns were conducted in coordination with the Ministry of Electricity and Water's distribution networks sector during which the committee monitored several negative phenomena that threatened families' security, health, and social well-being. Citizens living in these areas filed complaints. Al-Shammari said, in a related context, that the team has issued ten citations since the beginning of this month to property owners in the governorates of Jahra and Farwaniya regarding infringements of power and water networks (illegal connections and theft of power and water supply).
The real estate owner is advised to keep an eye on their properties to avoid violations and power cuts, which can lead to penalty measures due to the presence of bachelors, as well as on new construction properties. In construction work, employees of companies or building guards tamper with the electricity and water networks, resulting in power outages. Meanwhile, Al-Shammari announced a surprise campaign that cut power to five properties in the suburb of Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh.
