Hh The Crown Prince’s Representative Attends Formula-1 Finale In Abu Dhabi
The Representative of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Hawalli Governor Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah attended the finale of the Formula-1 2018 Etihad Airways in the capital Abu Dhabi.
The event was attended by UAE Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashed Al-Maktoum, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, General Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and several senior officials.
Meanwhile, Representing His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah at the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix, Hawalli Governor Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah praised the UAE’s leading role in hosting global sports events.
“The race has been distinctive and unique in the world of motorsport racing, making it one of the best in the world over the last 10 years,” he told KUNA at the event’s conclusion.
Earlier, British world champion Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes won the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, ending a fifth Formula 1 title-winning season.
Sheikh Ahmad said he was honoured to have attended the race, in which many of the world’s top drivers participated, on behalf of His Highness the Crown Prince.
He also expressed his gratitude for the invitation extended by Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
The event, which celebrated its 10-year anniversary, was an “ultimate success,” he said.
It also coincided with the UAE’s National Day celebrations and 100 years since the birth of the country’s founder, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan.
Speaking of their bilateral ties, Sheikh Ahmad said Kuwait and the UAE were bound by constantly growing deep-rooted and brotherly relations.
Shortly afterwards, a dinner banquet was held in his honour at the invitation of the General Consul at Kuwait’s Emirate of Dubai and Northern Emirates Consulate, Thiyab Al-Rasheedi.
Earlier on Sunday, Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah arrived here in Abu Dhabi, to attend the finale of the Formula-1 2018 Etihad Airways in the capital Abu Dhabi later in the day.
Upon arrival, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Nawaf was received by Kuwait Consul General in Dubai Theyab Al-Rashidi, Advisor Waleed Al-Moussa and consulate members.
His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf received an invitation from Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan to attend the race held between Nov 23-25 at Yas Marina Circuit.
