Kuwaiti Dcotors In Private Sector Can Work In More Than One Location
The Arabic local newspaper Alrai reported that The Minister of Health, Sheikh Dr. Basil Al-Sabah, issued a ministerial decision to allow Kuwaiti doctors working in hospitals in the private medical sector on a full-time basis to work for their own account outside the official working hours to open a clinic or work in private medical institutions, according to conditions and controls.
The decision stated that these conditions require that the license applicant be at the level of a specialist doctor and above, and the approval of the hospital administration, represented by the chairman of the hospital’s board of directors or whoever he authorizes, with which the doctor works to open a private clinic or to work in another treatment institution outside his original working hours, and to specify The working hours in his original working hours and the hours that he will work outside of his original working hours in his private clinic or treatment institution, which will be determined by an official letter directed to the Health Licenses Department for the purpose of monitoring compliance with the prescribed number of working hours.
And it included in its second article submitting the application to the Medical Licensing Committee to verify the fulfillment of the aforementioned conditions and the rest of the other requirements established in accordance with the law and the ministerial decisions organizing them.
In its third article, he indicated that the existing licenses of therapeutic institutions granted to doctors working in the private medical sector will continue to work with permission to specify or transfer them unless the license is canceled based on the applicant’s desire or in implementation of any legal procedure.
In its fourth article, the decision stipulated that the Health Licensing Department would continue to complete the procedures of those who obtained initial approvals from the licensing committee until the date of the convening of the committee No. 15 of 2019, held on September 12, 2019.
