Govt To Increase Workforce By 50 Per Cent From Tuesday
The Civil Service Bureau (CSB) announced the increase in the number of employees in all government agencies by no more than 50 percent of the total workforce starting next Tuesday, which was the date announced by the Council of Ministers for the transition to the third phrase of the return to normalcy plan, reports Al Rai.
CSB said in a press statement today, Thursday, that the third phase of the plan will begin with the continuation of work for all those able except for certain exemption cases, such as those above the age of 55.
The same flexible system of work hours and a rotation group process will be organized according to the decisions taken in the second stage of the return plan. During this time, all the health preventive requirements decided by the competent authorities to limit the spread of the coronavirus will be followed.
Due to the nature of the work of the Ministry of Health in the light of the current exceptional circumstances, the work rules and the work system of its employees will be managed according to the requirements of the public interest, and this is an exception to the rules mentioned in the manual of policies, and procedures for the gradual return to work.”
The cabinet decided earlier today to move to the third phase of the return to normalcy plan starting next Tuesday and a change in the curfew timings in all parts of the country from 9pm to 3 am until further notice.
The Cabinet also decided to assign the main committee to follow up and monitor the implementation of health requirements related to combating the new coronavirus and to ensure serious commitment to them in various businesses and sectors.
