Frontline Workers Would Not Be Mandated To Take The Coronavirus Vaccine

Informed government sources stressed that receiving the Coronavirus vaccine if approved and arrived in the country will be optional, not compulsory, for any specific group, despite the possession of the legal powers Minister of Health Sheikh Dr. Basil Al-Sabah holds that allows him to compel any group to take the vaccine, Al-Qabas reported.

The sources revealed to the daily even though perception is being formed regarding the target groups to receive the approved vaccine in the early stages of its arrival, there is no obligation on the medical staff and nursing institutions to receive it.

The sources indicated that the Ministry is studying more than one segment that will benefit from the vaccine, to give a priority for receiving it, such as the elderly, people with special needs, workers in the first grades, and those with risk factors.
