Free Food Supplies For Health, Interior Frontline Workers

The Cooperatives Societies Sector of the Ministry of Social Affairs is coordinating with the Ministry of Commerce to begin distributing food supplies free of charge to the employees of the ministries of Health and Interior who worked on the frontlines to fight the Corona virus.

Al-Jarida has learned the Ministry of Social Affairs at the request of the Ministry of Commerce has allocated 6 wedding halls, one in each governorate for the distribution of the food items — the Qabazard hall in Rumaithiya, Raja Al-Habbaj in Al-Sabahiya and Abdullah Al-Mubarak and the wedding halls of the cooperative societies of Raqqa, Al-Omariya and Al-Firdous.

The sources stated the foodstuffs — rice, lentils, oil, chicken, tomato paste, sugar and powdered milk — will be distributed free of charge for 6 months which should have been distributed at the beginning of this month, but the exact date of distribution is awaited from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
