Former Mp Considering Leaving Turkey
Former MP Musallam Al- Barrak is seriously considering leaving Turkey and move on to London, reports Al-Rai daily quoting reliable sources.
According to the same sources Al-Barrak has been residing in Turkey since 2018 before the court issued its final verdict in the storming of the Parliament building and had been seriously thinking of moving to London after the recent developments in the case.
The sources added, Al-Barrak is in touch with a group of Kuwaitis living in the British capital and plans to join them if he decides to leave Turkey. The sources indicated several reasons have forced Al-Barrak to take the next step including his legal stay in Turkey and the return of former MPs Walid Al-Tabtabaei and Fahd Al- Khanna to Kuwait to honor the verdicts that were issued against them and their consequent release after they apologized to HH the Amir. This has closed the door for return in his face.
The sources said Al- Barrak is in a dilemma after hastily declaring that he does not seek any amnesty or intends to apologize at a time when his colleagues have all taken the right approach to obtain amnesty by apologizing to the nation.
The sources pointed out that the atmosphere suggests that others who are in Turkey will return to the country, which is an additional reason for Al-Barrak to fear that the Turkish authorities may extradite him or transfer him to Kuwait.
