According to the Hindu Post daily, the arrest of the head and other members of a gang that specialized in obtaining fake passports and visas for Kuwait and other GCC nations was prompted by the deportation of an Indian national from Kuwait in June.

The gang leader is known as "Mushtaq," and according to the newspaper's citation of Tanu Sharma, director of the airport police, he was apprehended in Mumbai. It was discovered, according to Sharma, that the gang boss had been working with his henchmen in the cities of Mumbai and Gujarat to fabricate passports and visas.

When an Indian national was deported from Kuwait in June, it was discovered that he was traveling with two passports, one of which was fraudulent, and that he was also in possession of a fake visa, prompting the authorities to start looking for members of this network. On the basis of this, a case was filed, and an investigation was launched in an effort to find the forgery's origin.

The identities and addresses of the people from whom he received the bogus passport and visa in exchange for 650,000 Indian rupees were revealed during Mushtaq's interrogation, according to Sharma (equivalent to 2,500 Kuwaiti dinars).

Later, Dharma continued, "we found that the members of the network had vanished after hearing the news that they had been exposed." Within two months, the detectives' efforts led to the arrest of each member of the fraud network as they came forward and admitted to their crimes, which included fabricating paperwork to move people to Kuwait and other nations.
