Five Years Behind Bars For Kuwaiti Plot To Blow Up Shrines

According to local media reports, a Kuwaiti man committed terrorism and planned to blow up military bases and places of worship, joining Daesh (Isis) . He was sentenced to five years in prison for that.

The suspect was arrested after a tip-off resulted in him being charged with joining Daesh. A bomb-making course he received is said to have prepared him for bombing facilities in the country.

A newspaper published in Kuwait reports that the culprit planned to detonate bombs at the Husseiniyas of Bu Hamad and Al Yassin, a military base for American forces, as well as shrines in Jafari.

His mother and brother refused to join the group, according to the newspaper, and he urged his followers to do the same.
