Fake Messages Spreading About Fixed Time Of Going Out,we Will Take Legal Action Against All Rumormongers

Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior totally dismissed social media claims that there would be definite time for people to go outdoors and that violators would face fines.

The minister cautioned in a press statement that it would take legal action against all rumormongers. It also called on mass media and social media to seek true information and news from official sources.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Information called on all citizens and residents to remain at home and avoid unessential trips. The ministry, on its twitter account, asked people to steer away from gatherings and crowded places and stick to relevant official instructions and guidelines.

The Minister of information and Minister of state for municipal affairs issued a decision to close all public parks in all regions of the country.

Earlier, the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic affairs decided to stop all Friday sermon and prayer at all mosques until further notice.

Kuwait announced Friday that 20 people had tested positive for the coronavirus, taking the Gulf country's total count of confirmed virus patients up to 100.
