Extending The Partial Ban To The Advent Of The Vaccine?
Despite adopting the transition to the fourth stage of the stages of the return of life as of next Tuesday (the 18th of this month), and allowing the introduction of a number of activities that will be allowed to operate from the fifth to the fourth stage, the Council of Ministers decided in its extraordinary meeting yesterday, the continuation of the partial ban in the country, on To review his decision next Thursday (20 this month).
The extension of the ban came based on reports provided by the health authorities, and in light of questions whether the ban will continue until a vaccine or drug is found.
Informed sources confirmed to Al-Qabas that "the partial ban will be subject to a weekly evaluation, and the final decision on it will be taken by the Council of Ministers based on the numbers of injuries and the number of intensive care cases."
Health sources attributed to Al-Qabas the maintenance of the ban for a number of reasons; Most notably, the fear of returning to square one, especially after noticing the lack of commitment to the required social and physical distancing, and the failure to wear masks by many workers in the workplace.
The sources indicated that the Ministry of Health teams have detected weakness in the procedures and mechanisms of "effective control" implemented by some government agencies and private sector facilities, in the face of the Corona virus, which contributed to the failure of the epidemic infection rates, pointing out that the teams make surprise inspection rounds daily. And send direct reports about it to officials in the ministry. It indicated that the most important requirements for transition from one stage to another are based on the factors of the proliferative number of injuries, and measuring the stability of injury rates in each region, which has not been achieved well so far.
