Expat Will Have To Pay Kd2.5 In Fees
The CEO of the Health Insurance Hospitals Company ‘Daman’ Dr Muhammad Al-Qana’i said the medical centers in Hawalli and Al-Farwaniya will receive the expatriates and called on everyone to experience the quality of the services provided by these centers stressing the current prices are appropriate and affordable, and that the Daman health centers will receive those covered by all insurance companies soon, reports Al-Rai daily.
Dr Al-Qana’i in an interview with the daily said this will be done in cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Health to complete the health insurance system and move to the next stage, in preparation for receiving those covered by the health insurance system – a mechanism approved by the government for 130 dinars for expats that will be borne by the employer.
He explained the health insurance system will benefit the residents. Initially an expatriate will have to pay only two-and- half dinars in fees, including consultations, analyzes, examinations and X-rays, even transfer fees to the hospital for additional checks.
He indicated that the opening of the Daman Center in Farwaniya is considered a continuation of the next series of openings, noting that the completion rate in the Daman Centers in Ahmadi and Jahra has exceeded 35 percent, and that handing them over and operating is expected to be by September 2021.
