Ethiopian Domestic Workers Agreement Awaits Kuwaiti Response

The Ethiopian ambassador to the country, H E Hassan Tajo, said that the agreement on recruiting domestic workers from Ethiopia to Kuwait has not been signed so far. He explained that the Kuwaiti government sent the last copy of the agreement to the Ethiopian Foreign Ministry and received a response from it two weeks ago, Al-Rai reported.

In a statement to the daily H E Tajo said that his country is ready to sign as soon as the response arrives from the Kuwaiti side which protects the rights of both workers and sponsors alike, explaining that the ball is now in the Kuwaiti court.
