Drug Addicts Attempt To Evade Cops At Checkpoints By Running Over Them

In a proactive move, the vigilant patrol officers of the Ahmadi Security Directorate intercepted two individuals in a vehicle along Umm Al-Hayman Road during the early hours of yesterday. These individuals, identified as drug users, attempted to evade inspection and even resorted to endangering the lives of security men by attempting to run them over, reports Al-Anba daily. According to reports, the swift response of the police thwarted the reckless attempt, leading to the apprehension of the suspects. Upon inspection, a cache of illicit substances, including hashish, marijuana, and chemical pills, along with drug paraphernalia, was discovered in their possession.

The individuals, along with the confiscated narcotics, were promptly handed over to the General Administration for Narcotics Control for further processing and legal action. In a separate incident later in the evening, officers from the Jahra Security Directorate apprehended a citizen on Al-Salmi Road, who was found to have a history of drug-related offenses. Suspicion arose when authorities noticed a parked vehicle, leading to a precautionary search that yielded a significant quantity of hashish, shabu, chemical substances, narcotic pills, and related paraphernalia. The individual, along with the seized contraband, was promptly transported to the General Administration for Drug Control for necessary procedures and legal proceedings.
