Domestic Workers Entry Visas Extended For 6 Months

11 May 2021 Kuwait

Chairman of Kuwait Union of Domestic Labor Offices (KUDLO) Khaled Al-Dakhnan, revealed that the Ministry of Interior approved the Union’s request to extend entry visas for domestic workers from 3 months to 6 months, and to print the worker’s residency in her passport even if it is valid for 18 months, instead of the two years that was stipulated earlier, Al Jarida reported.

Khaled Al-Dakhnan pointed out that such actions help to facilitate the recruitment process for the offices, which has suffered greatly in the past year, and suffered heavy losses due to the suspension of recruitment and ban on flights from countries where the majority of domestic workers are recruited.
