Domestic Labor Department Received 323 Complaints From Domestic Workers

Domestic Labor Department has received a total of 1,654 complaints and referred 329 of them to the court as well as conducted inspections of 2,635 domestic labor offices, local media reported.

According to report, the Domestic Labor Department affiliated to the General Department for Residency Affairs received 323 complaints from domestic workers, 1,261 complaints from sponsors of domestic workers and 70 complaints from domestic labor offices.

Among these, 329 complaints were referred to the court, and the licenses of four domestic labor offices were suspended for six months and the licenses of 12 other offices were suspended for three months. In addition, 115 violators of residency law were arrested and referred to the concerned authorities. Also, 22 other violators were referred to the General Department for Criminal Evidences and 146 others to the General Department for Residency Security Affairs.
