Discounts To Be Limited To Online Orders Only

The Committee responsible for ensuring compliance with the regulations imposed by the Ministry of Health (MoH) related to confronting the Coronavirus has requested the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) to cancel any offers of discounts currently available in shopping malls and markets and to limit them to online shopping, Al-Rai reported.

The decision comes to avoid crowding in the offers, whether they are sales, discounts, or special offers,” said the Director-General of Kuwait Municipality, Ahmad Al-Manfuhi, who chaired the meeting.

Manfuhi also stated that the committee discussed with officials in the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs the measures to be taken in the mosques, especially as the holy month of Ramadan is about to begin, noting that those concerned in the ministries of health and endowments have put in place the necessary measures to implement them in the Tarawih prayers and the holy month.
