Development Projects Are Hindered By Obstacles

24 February 2022 Kuwait

Engineer Muhammad Al-Zoubi, deputy director-general for urban planning and structural planning at the Kuwait Municipality, has requested that the Ministry of Electricity remove its obstacles that impede the work of the residential city expansion.

According to Al-Qabas, quoting Al-Zoubi, the Ministry of Electricity was informed on October 7, 2021 by the Municipal Council that the expansion of the South Sa'ad Al-Abdullah Residential City project on 8.6 square kilometers had been granted to the Public Authority for Housing Welfare.

Municipal officials said there are still a number of obstacles that inhibit progress at the site, including high-pressure overhead power lines, irrigation lines, water wells, towers and communications cables, all of which they noticed during their visit to the site.

It is hoped that these obstacles will be removed soon so that the PAHW can be handed over the site.
