Demand For Jobs In Govt Sector Has Reached 7316
The Central Employment Agency at the Civil Service Commission (CSC) has revealed that the number of unemployed citizens, who are looking for jobs in government agencies and are registered in the agency, has reached 7,316 as of Sunday, reports Aljarida daily quoting informed sources.
They indicated that the number of applicants expected to register as of the end of the registration period, which is on August 25, is 8,000. They explained that this is the period that witnesses the highest demand for employment in government agencies as per statistics of the agency.
Statistics show that the number of applicants seeking jobs in government agencies has never reached such a high level since 1999, when employment became centralized for the first time through CSC. A total of 2,014 citizens had registered in the last registration period in May. The number of male applicants so far is 2,504 and number of female applicants is 4,812.
The number of applicants who are graduates from Kuwait University and the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) is 6,476, in addition to 840 others of different qualifications and from other educational institutions. CSC has set the dates for applicants’ interviews to complete their documents, with expectations that they would extend the appointments beyond Eid Al-Adha Holidays. The interviews were supposed to coincide with registration but were pushed back and extended due to the huge turnout.
State Property Real Estate Department at Ministry of Finance will compensate to citizens who have claims in Wafra and Al-Zour areas related to ownership of lands, houses and workshops that lie in these areas, reports Al- Shahed daily. The move is in adherence to the Cabinet’s decision which obliges Ministry of Finance to take necessary measures to compensate deserving claimants in the two areas. Sources explained that a budget within the general budget of 2017/2018 has been allotted for the compensation of the claims. The compensation to be paid by the department will be in material only, and based on the area of land that the citizens own in the divided area.
