Customs: There Is No New Law That Has Been Applied To Travelers
The General Administration of Customs clarified that there is no new law or procedure applied to departing and arriving travelers, and they are bound to apply the unified customs law and its executive regulations among the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and there has been no change to the procedures followed in the past.
The General Administration of Customs indicates that what has been circulated regarding the collection of customs tax on gifts and personal belongings is nothing but a normal customs procedure that the customs performs for some of the visitors to the customs office, in order to ensure that the personal effects and gifts are not of a commercial character, which is considered one of the Illegal means of insulting trade, according to a database in force at the General Administration of Customs, with the administration’s right to inspect and check customs in order to preserve the security and safety of the country and protect public money.
The General Administration of Customs assures citizens and residents to work to facilitate and facilitate special procedures for departures and arrivals, and that any new procedures that you take on official websites will be announced, and whoever has any complaint or inquiry must register it on the official website of the administration, or visit the Public Relations office in the General Administration of Customs building in Shuwaikh .
