Covid 19 - Bloodbank Employee Tested Positive

Central Blood Bank management confirmed that an employee who was a confirmed case of COVID 19 positive worked in the laboratory department and did not have any direct interaction with donors. Al-Rai daily reported.

The management revealed to the daily that staff at the blood bank contacted the disease from a family member who was infected with corona and not from the blood bank.

The administration informed that the department of preventive health has already begun contact tracing of the infected person to contain the spread.

Additionally, they informed that all precautionary measures are being taken including sterilization of all departments and laboratories on a daily basis as per the protocols of the ministry of health.
