The Court of Appeals presided over by Judge Salem Al-Asousi rejected the request to release on bail the fashionista Fatima Al-Moumen, who was accused of causing a traffic accident that resulted in the death of two people and injuries to two others, crossing a red traffic signal, and speeding above the allowed limit.

The court decided to reserve the case for judgment on March 14, reports Al-Seyassah daily. On October 25, the Misdemeanor Court had sentenced the fashionista to three-year imprisonment in the case, which was famously known as the Soor Street accident in Capital governorate and had preoccupied Kuwait and Arab public opinion for two months. The court had also ruled to withdraw her driving license for a period of one year.
