Court Extends Tunisians Detention In Terror Case Again

The detention renewal judge in the High Court, for the second time in a row, had yesterday decided to extend for 14 more days the detention of three Tunisian defendants until a court hearing is scheduled for them. These defendants were charged with belonging to a banned organization (ISIS), carrying out a hostile act against Kuwait, and planning to commit operations against places of worship for the Shiite sect in the country.

However, they denied all the charges leveled against them. The legal counsel representing the defendants had demanded that they be released with any guarantee the court deems appropriate until the investigations into the case are completed, stressing that they do not fear fleeing the country due to the issuance of travel ban orders against them by the Public Prosecution.
