Court Dismissed Lawsuit Filed By A Kuwaiti Woman Against Her Husband

The First Instance Court (Family Court Circuit) dismissed the lawsuit filed by a Kuwaiti woman against her husband and his mother, requesting the court to grant her custody of her children.

The woman said her husband did not shoulder the financial expenses of the family, and since their children are living with her, she requested the court to grant her the right to keep them under her guardianship.

Attorney Abdulmuhssen Al-Qattan, the paternal grandmother’s lawyer, pointed out the mother is not capable of having custody of the children especially since she admitted to having indecent relationships with more than one man.

He added that due to the keenness of his client to raise her grandchildren properly, she requested for custody. He affirmed the right of the mother to see her children is guaranteed provided it is done in the presence of the grandmother.
