Civil Court Ordered A Kuwaiti Woman To Refund KD 10,500

Civil Section at the Court of First Instance chaired by Judge Khalid Al-Rushdan ordered a Kuwaiti woman to refund KD 10,500 in favor of her compatriot ex-husband for making use of a sold property illegitimately. Lawyer Mohammad Khalil Al- Qattan representing the plaintiff narrated before court that his client was married to the defendant. He explained that his client sold his property at Oyoun area, Jahra, but the defendant used the same property for over 10 months after the sale. He stressed the action made the plaintiff to pay the buyer KD 700 monthly, citing Article 262 of civil law, which stipulates that whoever enriches himself at the expense of another person should compensate the affected person for damages.
