Campaign To Arrest Illegals And Law-breakers Stepped Up
In the framework of its keenness to uphold the prestige of the law and deal with everyone on an equal footing, the Ministry of Interior continues to organize surprise security campaigns in various parts of the country to arrest the outlaws, residence law violators and criminals with rigor and intensity, reports Al-Rai daily.
A security source said one such campaign organized by what the ministry called Residential Investigation Sector under the guidance of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior retired Lieutenant-General Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah, and follow-up of the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Essam Al-Naham, resulted in the arrest of about 400 residence and labor laws violators. Most of those arrested are Asians and Arabs who have been referred to the concerned authorities to prepare their deportation from the country.
The source pointed “the Ministry of Interior continues to carry out these campaigns to enforce the prestige of the law, and cleanse the country from the ‘employment’ violators in the framework of the strategy laid by the leadership of the ministry.” The source stressed, Al-Jarrah is determined to apply the law on all without discrimination and reject mediation from any sources to release the arrested.
As an example, the daily quoting ministry sources said, recently one Jordanian – who was practicing veterinary medicine without licence – was arrested and several attempts were made by politicians and social personalities to release him, but he was expelled from the country. In addition to practicing medicine illegally, the Jordanian doctor was also violator of labor law
