By 2024, Moh Will Introduce 80 New Ambulances

According to Minister of Health Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi, 80 new ambulances will be in service by 2024 to reinforce the national health system as a whole and emergency medical services in particular.

After the opening of the emergency response center in Al-Mutlaa, the Minister made the statement.

According to Dr. Al-Awadhi, the center will operate with a capacity of six ambulances and six technicians, working round-the-clock in support of Al-Jahraa medical area and new Jahraa hospital. Four additional medical centers will be opened in the area as well.

It was further stated by the Minister that the government is determined to expedite the execution process as life begins to flourish in the area housing some 28,000 residential plots.

As well as developing emergency response via land and sea, they are working on developing emergency response via air and sea.

As part of the developmental expansion plan, Dr. Ahmad Al-Shatti, Chief of Emergency Response Services, said nine emergency response centers had been inaugurated within a year.

In order to provide rapid response and alleviate part of the load, the center will also extend services to Al-Abdali road.

Abdulrahman Al-Yousef, the director of the newly inaugurated center, explained the layout and sanitization measures.
