Booking Open For Chartered Flights To India From Kuwait
Al Tayer Travels of Al Baker Group with Luxury Travels is planning to charter 10 flights to India from Kuwait for the Indian community who wish to travel to India. They have already signed an agreement with Kuwait Airways to operate 10 services to various airports in India which can be increased as per requirement.
"My relationship with India was very strong and historical. From my grandfather’s time, we used to do business with India. When we came to know that almost 70,000 Indians had registered with the Embassy of India to return to India, we thought of doing something for them. We are not focusing on making any profit from this," Mr Fahed Al Baker, Chairman of Al Baker group told IndiansinKuwait.com
We plan to operate these flights from 18th of this month until 30th. We had contacted with Kuwait Airways to charter 10 flights. "I give importance to the health and safety of our passengers during travel", Mr Fahad said. We are giving free face shield, small sanitizer bottle, face mask etc., to all passengers free of cost. The company had booked all wide-bodied Boeing 777 flights, where more passengers can travel with proper social distancing. To those Airports where these wide-bodied flight cannot land, we have also arranged Airbus 320 aircraft from Kuwait Airways, Mr Fahad said.
“We are also offering a free trip to any health professional who got stuck in India and wish to return to Kuwait on our return trips,” Fahad said. The company already informed the Ministry of Health about their willingness to carry health professionals from India in their return trip without charging any amount. Only, they must have the approval from the Ministry of Health to return to Kuwait. Mr Fahad said. All passengers need to register with the Indian Embassy before travel. However, we give preference to elderly passengers, pregnant ladies, people who lost their job and students who wanted to go back to India for further studies or exams.
We are operating flights to Chennai, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore from Kuwait. We are allowing 3 pieces of luggage. Passenger can carry up to 60 kg baggage (20 x 3 pcs) and a 7 Kg hand baggage to all passengers. Infants have free ticket along with 10 KG luggage allowance. Due to the service level restrictions business class will be operated with economy service. We are also providing transportation facility to Airport from areas under lockdown.
“We have all the approvals from the Kuwait government. However, to land a flight in a particular airport, we must have the approval from that respective State Govt. through Indian Embassy. The procedure is that we have to submit all the passengers' list to the embassy to get the approval from MEA / DGCA / respective State. Once we submit the list, we will get the permission within 3 to 4 working days if all the conditions are met.,” Mr Bobby Thomas - Operations Manager, Luxury Travel who is taking care of these Chartered flights operation - said. “We must have a minimum of 300 passengers to any destination to operate. Schedule and time might change depending on the approval. Once we have 300 confirmed passenger, we will submit the list to the embassy for further approvals. If in any chance, the MEA/DGCA/STATE didn’t approve the landing, we will refund the full amount without any deduction within 3 working days,” Mr Bobby said. No travel agency can claim that they have full approval as the above is the procedure. If anyone claims otherwise, it is not true, Mr Bobby said.
This is the service extended to our Indian brothers and sisters who are in distress. We will try our best to take them to there respective states, Mr Bobby said.
We are also open to associate with any Indian association or groups for bulk booking for their members, Mr Bobby said. In that case, we can get approval faster as we can submit the passenger list beforehand, he said.
