'Biometrics' May Lead To Salary Cuts If Ignored
From today, the Ministry of Education (MoE) is implementing on an experimental basis a mechanism for flexible school hours across all types of schools, including general education, Arab private, religious education, and special education institutions, reports Al-Rai daily. Under this new system, kindergartens and special education schools will operate for 5 hours per day, while other stages will have a 6-hour schedule, inclusive of a 45-minute grace period. Additionally, the Ministry has announced the mandatory implementation of fingerprint registration for all employees, including teachers and administrators. According to sources, failure to comply with this requirement within a week will result in the suspension of salary without prior notice.
The Ministry has emphasized that all school administrations are responsible for ensuring that their employees register their fingerprints. Legal measures will be taken to halt salary disbursement for those who fail to comply. The Ministry has urged all teachers and administrators to promptly register their fingerprints to avoid facing legal repercussions, stressing that this measure applies to all employees without exceptions.
