Beware Of Scrupulous Persons; Verify Legal Status Of Social Media Adverts

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has called on citizens and residents to beware of fake social media commercial advertisements.

Al-Qabas quoting KUNA said there are some vested interests out there who call for investment in portfolios or sign commercial investment contracts, but the ministry warns everyone to verify the licenses and legal status of such entities before entering into any kind of business activity.

The ministry said in a press statement, Saturday, the citizens and residents must ensure the credibility of parties before signing any contracts, as well as their legal status, in addition to consulting a lawyer before concluding any contract.

The ministry stressed on the role entrusted to it legally with all concerned authorities in the country to address such sites or individuals and take all legal measures to protect the rights of consumers.
