As Schools Extend Their Holidays, Travel And Tourism Offices Are Busy
After the announcement to extend the mid-year vacation from the 13th of this month to the 5th of next March, the air transportation market saw a rush of activity to purchase tickets for international travel.
After the decision to prolong the vacations, sources in the tourism and travel sector informed Al-Qabas that there is an increase in demand for travel, particularly among teachers. Cairo, Turkey, and Dubai are among the most popular locations.
According to reports, the holiday extension generated uncertainty in advance booking, with several offices receiving calls from passengers requesting that their reservation dates be extended until the start of the second semester. However, ticket costs are still inexpensive during this time period, but return tickets are tough to come by due to restricted seating availability.
According to reports, ticket costs would rise significantly on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th of next month, with rates for some travel locations, particularly Cairo, reaching 300 dinars each way.
According to reliable sources, certain airlines have requested more flights from the Directorate-General of Civil Aviation in the weeks leading up to the start of the second semester to help customers return.
According to the reports, the agencies working at Kuwait International Airport have a propensity to waive the PCR requirement for incoming passengers, noting that this procedure has burdened families that go on holidays.
