Areas With Spiking Coronavirus Cases To Be Possibly Isolated

25 May 2020 Coronavirus

Kuwait is preparing to return to normal, as Saturday, May 30, the last day of the total curfew is approaching. A local daily reported that the next phase of the coronavirus-preventative measures will be instituted, which is moving from a total lockdown to a partial curfew in Kuwait, and ensuring isolated areas such as Jleeb Al Shuyoukh and Mahboula remain on lockdown. The daily reported that given the daily coronavirus infection figures, there are options for including areas such as Farwaniya, Maidan Hawally and others in the total lockdown and strict health measures, but it is currently being discussed.

The government authorities are currently planning for the next phase that has been developed to tackle the spread of coronavirus.

The daily reported that health instructions were issued to the public to adhere to the health measures including wearing masks in public places, commitment to social distancing especially in markets, complexes, and others, with the threat of legal consequences for failing to do so.
