Airlines Are Free To Set The Cost Of Pcr Tests Under Kd60

02 February 2021 Coronavirus

The General Administration of Civil Aviation has instructed airlines not to exceed the cost of the PCR examination for arriving passengers more than KD60 for the two tests together. This is in line with the maximum value approved by the Ministry of Health at KD30 for one examination, Al-Rai reported.

Informed sources told the daily that setting the value of the examination at KD.30 is not obligatory for airlines operating at Kuwait airport, provided that the value does not exceed the specified maximum limit of KD 60 for two tests.

Sources said that trend opens the way for companies operating at Kuwait Airport, towards greater competitiveness in the processes of reducing the test prices for the benefit of the arriving passengers. Especially when the ticket prices have skyrocketed due to a lesser number of available flights.
