A Large Number Of 60s Plus Expats With No Degrees Leaving Kuwait

Currently, 15,724 expatriates without university degrees who are 60 years and older have left the country, according to the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI). This is an indication of the acceleration of the pace of demographic adjustment and elimination of labor market imbalances.

The statistics revealed that the number of expatriates 60 years old and above without a university degree totaled 82,598 in the middle of this year, compared to 98,598 in the same period in 2021. Within this year, 1,664 expatriates aged 60 and above with undergraduate and postgraduate degrees left the country, up from 14,544 in the middle of last year and 16,208 in the middle of 2021.
