A Jump In Deaths, Infections, Intensive Care And Swabs

The Ministry of Health announced the registration of 844 new cases of “Covid 19” during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases registered in the country to 112 thousand and 737 cases, while 8 deaths were recorded as a result of complications of the disease, bringing the total number of deaths recorded to date to 672 cases. .

In the daily statistical statement, to find out the latest developments in the virus, the Ministry of Health said that among the previous cases that were confirmed to be infected were cases of contact with confirmed cases and others under investigation for the source of infection and examining those in contact with them.

The Ministry confirmed the recovery of 706 cases of the disease during the past 24 hours, bringing the total cases of recovery from the disease to 104 thousand and 508 cases, or 92.7% of the total injuries in the country, after making sure that these cases are similar to recovery after conducting the necessary medical examinations and the steps followed in this regard. .

They explained that the number of people receiving medical care in the intensive care departments reached 143 cases, making the total of all cases that were confirmed to have “Covid-19” disease and are still receiving the necessary medical care 7557 cases.

The ministry stated that the number of swabs conducted during the past 24 hours amounted to 8,055, bringing the total number of examinations since the beginning of the pandemic until now to 796 thousand and 760 laboratory examinations, thus the rate of new infections from the swabs reached 10.4%.

The Ministry of Health renewed its call on citizens and residents to continue adopting all preventive means, avoid contact with others, and be keen on implementing the strategy of physical distancing, recommending to visit the official accounts of the Ministry of Health and official authorities in the country to view the instructions and recommendations, and everything that would contribute to containing the spread of the virus.
